STI's Jerald Bautista eludes UM's Eugene Torres
The STI College Olympians had no answer to 2009 rookie of the year Alvin Jeff Viernes who sank a three pointer in the opening minutes of the game and had a field day against all defenders given him. Viernes would topscore for the Hawks as he scattered 34 points to atone for the off nignt of fellow Hawk and 2010 MVP Eugene Torres who scored a measly 5 points. The Hawks opened the game with a 12 -2 lead and sustained that lead all through out the game as the Olympians played catch up. The lead ballooned to 21 points 52 -31 in the third quarter as Viernes would quell all rallies by the Olympians as he singlehandedly gave the hawks the top spot.
